Michael V. Jones is dedicated to the greater Northeast Kingdom region. Originally from Monroe, NH, Michael graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 2001 and attend Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island where he excelled at Food Science. Realizing a higher calling, Michael enlisted into the U.S. Army as an Airborne Infantryman. After attending basic training in 2003, Michael was first stationed at Fort Bragg, NC where he was deployed in support of Operation Iraq Freedom from 2005 to 2006. After a quick transfer for Fort Richardson, AK, Michael was again deployed to Iraq in 2006 to 2007 for 14 months where he earned a Bronze Star. In 2008 recruiters from the U.S. Army Recruiting Command visited Fort Richardson. Michael applied to become a U.S. Army Recruiter and he was accepted. His first Recruiting assignment was at Burlington, VT. Excelling at Recruiting, Michael found a home in an organization dedicated to helping the nations young men and women serve their country while also providing financial stability and college opportunities. Michael was quickly converted to a full-time permanent recruiter and moved around the east coast, from Vermont to Louisville, KY, then Brooklyn, NY and finally back home to Littleton, NH. During this time, Michael successfully ran multiple Army Recruiting Centers and won dozens of awards at both the personal and station level. He also continued his education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and he has almost completed an MBA in Project Management. After nearly 20 years of service, it was time to put down roots and stay in Monroe, NH where his two young daughters will have the same educational opportunities that he had as a child. With 26 months in Iraq, 15 years in Army Recruiting, 10 years as a Station Commander and multiple other admin roles, retirement seems elusive. With a passion for helping others achieve their goals and dreams, Michael has now started a new professional career as a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Lifestyles in Littleton, NH. With intimate knowledge of the local area, economy, schools, employment and land opportunities, Michael looks forward to building a strong reputation in the area. Current goals are to become licensed in Vermont and explore the lakes in the area with his two daughters.
